Danielle Steel Pact

My best bibliophile friend and I read every single book Danielle Steel puts out. Recently the amount of books put out by our dear author have been fast furious and a number we couldn’t keep up with!!! HA. To remedy this we are reading two books a month until we catch up! Having both missed an occassional release due to illness and life changes, we have stacked up our need to be read books and written our lists out and are good to go!

Our January read is Past Perfect.

Past Perfect is a spellbinding story of two families living a hundred years apart who come together in time in a startling moment, opening the door to rare friendship and major events in early-twentieth-century history.

I more often than not enjoy these books. I can only think of three I did not particularly care for. I especially enjoy the history and research gone into each book. These books are always like a good cup of cocoa or a lovely cookie to me. Very wonderful cleansers to the usual type book I read. I have been reading Danielle Steel books since 1983, when I discovered her and read everything at the library published up to that point, and then continued on until present day. She has been with me longer than everyone I know who is close to me. Her style of writing has been my balm many many times. Some of the content of her stories have taught me lessons. Other books have made me research the true history she is talking about in the stories of her books. They are always like a hug to me from a longtime friend. I am excited to be doing this challenge and pact with my friend and as there are several new books to look forward to from Danielle this year, I’m sure we won’t run out of material to read!

I’ll be posting my progress as we read along!

Peace.
