Iris and the Tiger
It’s difficult to find good reads for middle school kids that isn’t “trendy”. This is a wonderful story for kids 9-14 years old. The book is written with such a great imaginative flair that you can almost see color. Iris the main character is 12, she is sent by greedy parents to try to get an inheritance from a rich old Auntie. The plot line is good and clean and the book ends well, but in the meanwhile the characters in the book are a riot, and thoroughly enjoyable. Fun little mystery to read. Wonderful find to recommend to middle school kids!
