The above meme made me really laugh. When I read it I was in the process of looking at all the pictures of books on my phone!! I take pictures of books from all over the internet or at stores, or when I see someone reading!! I do this to remember to put them on hold at the library, so I can read them. Then if I really like the book and think I’ll reread it, gift it or donate it, I will buy a copy.
I tend to read ‘all over the place’ so my hold shelf at the library is always entertaining. A couple of the librarians really like seeing what I am going to read. Plus I always give mini book reports on them when I return them. It’s always fun to talk with them and they also offer great suggestions of books and movies.
The amusing part to me is that usually the book I have put on hold does not come from one of the two libraries here in town. They are usually from another town that is in the system. So most of the time it is also new to the librarians. Which is fun for all.
I use the library constantly and am EXTREMELY grateful to be able to use it for free on sometimes a daily basis.
Get a library card if you don’t have one! There are so many programs, books, talks and community within the walls of a library!
