Years ago a Children’s Librarian at our local library told me to read anything Richard Peck, since I had read her out of all other suggestions. I picked up ‘A Long Way to Chicago’ and was hooked. I have since read everything of his that the library has. I put this new release on hold as soon as I heard about it and started it yesterday, at one of my weekday reading spots, parent pick up.
October 24-finished: I don’t want to spoil this book or the plot lines. So I will leave you with this. It’s very good. I like it as much as ‘The long road to Chicago’ it’s fun to read and I recommend reading it with your child and discussing it.
