Last Christmas we started the tradition of reading a Christmas book daily starting December first and ending with the Christmas Story of Jesus on Christmas morning before we opened presents. We take turns picking and reading books from our book box, which we switch to all Christmas books while setting up the tree. We all enjoyed it so much last year that we are doing it again this year. PLUS we are adding cocoa and cookies to the tradition. Our box is ready, we are excited!
Act of kindness day is celebrated around by us by some people on December first. Others do a random act of kindness every day in December. We try to live our lives DAILY like this, however I decided to wrap up 25 books and number them up and donate them to a single mom we know who wanted to do the advent book thing. It was a lot of fun to wrap them all and deliver the books to them today so that they can start tomorrow on December first. Here is a picture of the stack all set to go before we delivered it.
