Released in 1962, this has recently (2015) been released as a graphic novel. I wanted to have it immediately, but did not get it. I now have it, as I received it this Christmas from a secret Santa, and it is just beautiful. My hope is that it will reach even more young readers who will fall in love with this story. The lessons and allegories are so well done.
I read this book as a child and loved the adventure of it, which was a real surprise for me as it wasn’t my typical type of read. Rendering it into a graphic novel is brilliant. Interestingly enough there is a new movie adaption of this book to have its debut in April of 2018.
Check this book out in any form. You’re sure to glean knowledge.
