This is the last read I had to do for traveling book club! It comes out THIS coming Tuesday. We all read the Advanced Readers Copy. So that was a bit fun, to all have and read a book before it comes out and also get to discuss it before it drops.
We meet tomorrow and I can’t wait to see what books will be thrown in to next read. I am hoping for a little more variety this time!
Gizelle’s Bucket List
This book, although a good memoir type book, is not so much about the dog as it is about the owner of the dog. The dog is a character, but the focus really is on the owner. The story is very touching though and reads more like a friendship between to girls growing up together, which makes for a very sweet story. It will be interesting to see what people think about this book. It is the type of book for me personally that you would read on the beach in the summer or over spring break on vacation if you do that sort of thing. I would never have read this if it weren’t for book club and I did enjoy it. I would give it about 2.5 stars if you were rating 1-5, 5 being best.
All in all I would say this is a slightly less Marly and Me story.
