I have finished another Traveling Book Club Book! This book was a memoir of Ask Amy’s life while being a single parent raising her now grown daughter, after a divorce. Some of the stories were very real and relatable and some not. At times I thought okay here we go and then ……nothing. It’s a relatively short book, so I realize it is just snippets of her life. None of it goes too deep, I wish it would have. So saying that it is a quick read and it’s just okay. I believe my fellow chapter chicks will enjoy this book, as most of them like happy endings and escape type books, whereas I like nonfiction to be very engrossing and real life. Not fairytale like. It’s the realist in me.
