These two books on feminism I recently borrowed from the library.
Feminism Reinventing the f-word is an amazing trove of information. It is an encyclopedia of the history of feminism. What is wonderful about this book is that any child aged 12 and up could read it and learn so much. I highly recommend reading it with a child and discussing it in-depth. Wonderfully colorful format and easy to read.
She Takes A Stand is about all the fearless girls and woman making changes in their own lives and the lives of others for overall improvement. The biographies and stories of women fighting for human rights, civil rights, workers’ rights, reproductive rights, and world peace. A very good resource for current and future activists.
I am enjoying learning more about feminism this year, and am glad I decided last fall to take this project on.
