SUMMERTIME WITH THE PENDERWICKS
What an unexpected thrill to find these books! The stories are so very sweet, all the girls are so real that they become friends to you immediately. Such a great pick for summer time reading. I found out about this series of books while working in a elementary school library five years ago, finally getting to read them this summer, thanks to the 20 books of summer and taking books off my personal library shelf that need to be read! The books feel like classics, similar to Little Women and Anne of Green Gables and Little House on the Prairie. Truly, each book is a delight. Definitely a good read-a-loud book. It would be a wonderful classroom read. I believe I will try this in Bookclub in the baggy book program this coming school year and see how it goes! I’m thinking that the children will love reading and discussing these stories and adventures.

*I took the last two books of this series out of the library! BUT I did read the two on my shelf! NOW I have to order a 4 book set. Book problems! HA.
