I feel this is the right book to be reading during snow storms and blizzards…….I am on page 405 as of today! PHEW! I am also in need of a character guide! Goodness. My plan is either writing one myself or finding one online! As I read I find myself to be paging back to figure out who is whom!! THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE in this book!!!
So far the best time for me to read my 27 pages is in the early morning when it is quiet. My brain seems to be able to take it in better then!!! By nightfall I think I’d be LOST. I am enjoying the literature of this book for sure. I’ve been looking up this time in history as I read along and am learning about this era and this country. I’ve always loved Russian history and have read numerous stories of the Tsars and the revolution. I believe this background is helping me read this book, as well as my immense love for history. Although it still feels daunting at times, I think I’ve got a good handle on this read and believe this will prove to be easier as I continue along. I am extremely pleased with my decision to read this FIRST in my Classic Reading 2018 Challenge. Let’s be honest, after this book, I will be able to accomplish anything!
Peace.
