Well, I’ve read Side A (the chapters are divided into Sides) and so far I am NOT a fan. The section was a huge struggle to read. It is supposed to be 1988, however it reads like 1950 to me, which threw me off horrifically. I am hoping it gets better. The characters are okay, but so far this is an actual task to read. ….which I don’t particularly enjoy. The discussion went well this past Sunday, as they always do. The discussion may be the best part of the read for me this time around. I am about to start Side B, so I am hopeful it will improve. Yikes.
