Our October read was well, horrible. The language is beautiful. There IS a beautiful story in there but WHERE??? The book was way too disjointed. SO very many characters and story lines, and it just was maddening. We as a group enjoyed discussion our distain and frustration. We all agree the language and writing style was beautiful. If only it has a story!
We, our BOTM BUDDY READ, are ONE YEAR OLD! Happy day! I have so enjoyed leading these talks with my fellow two leaders and all the participants have been so good and gracious in all our discussions. I have learned so much more from each read we have done together. Even when I did not like the book or the genre, I learned. I enjoyed our very safe place of sharing opinions and ideas. It is a blessing and a highlight of my week.
