Little Lord Flauntery
Little Lord Fauntleroy written by Frances Hodgson Burnett, the author of the „The Secret Garden“, focuses on a young boy from New York who is send to England to become a Lord under the eyes of his grandfather. Little Lord Fauntleroy is Burnett’s first children novel and was published in 1886. Little Lord Fauntleroy became one of the most successful books of his decade and to this day, one of Frances Hodgson Burnett‘s masterpieces.
I have to take a trip to the library and see what movies they have of this book. I also need to see any art work portrayed and do a little research yet. I have never read this book, but I did so love The Secret Garden as a child and am planning on rereading it this year. This book doubles for my Letter L for A to Z Children’s Book Challenge.
It is hard to believe it is 2019 January already, that all my new challenged have begun! Here is to a good reading year for 2019!
