A Day of Reading ZEN

A few weeks ago on a Saturday I sat and finished a bunch of books I had started and finished THEM ALL. I found new favorites, visited an old favorite and read the book based on a movie I loved-THE HORROR I read the book SECOND.

John Singer Sargent is a favorite artist of mine. I pretended I was walking through the art museums gazing at his works as I studied this art book I picked up at a library sale several years ago. It was just lovely.

THE PARIS HOURS. What a wonderful book. It reminded me of classical literature and I absolutely loved the prose of the writing . A wonderful story told by following different lives in one day.

THINGS IN A JAR. This was not a normal type genre for me, however I really enjoyed this, easy to read. A Gothic mystery, fairy tale, light and darkness story. It was fun to read and very enjoyable.

WRITERS AND LOVERS was a quick no brain needed fluff read. Good for my mind. Enjoyable story about a writer and her struggles.

SENSE AND SENSIBILITY I caught up to where I needed to be for a chapter a day.

LES MISERABLES I caught up where I needed to be for a chapter a day.

CHARLIE WILSON’S WAR it was so so good. The movie was eye opening to me and the book was so much more. I do recommend reading it. Such insight to our war with Afghanistan.

THE DINNER LIST Ack. I have to say I so so so loved this story. It had a lot of things I needed to hear the day I read it and it will be a favorite of 2020 for sure. As was the same authors IN FIVE YEARS.

ART OF THE TABLE I am looking to do a few of these recipes art experiences. Maybe for July I will do one a weekend.

I hope I make myself do this again soon Such a great day. Zen. I also spent time in between reading coloring. In total I read around 12 hours plus.
