Children’s Classic Read 2022

Every morning for the past three years I have taken my coffee and my selected #ChildrensClassicRead for the month and read for ten minutes.
It is an amazing way to start the day.
The following are the choices for 2022.

January
I have always wanted to read the ‘real’ Pinocchio. As a child the Disney movie version scared the CRAP out of me, OY. I cannot wait to revisit this story, and see where it originated. As with most fairy tales or legends, I tend to love the original and feel upset over the simplification that Disney and others do to stories.
I imagine that will be the case here as well.
February
I have never read this story and as a fan of Little Women I am hoping it is just as lovely.
March
POOH. How can one not like Pooh?
I somehow missed reading this all these years,
so this is a must read for me.
April
When I read Cinderella by Charles Perrault
I fell in LOVE with it
. Thus my desire to read this,
Sleeping Beauty
which is one of my absolute Disney favorites.
May
I never heard of this story.
It came up while researching Children’s classic literature to read.
Thus here it is on the list.
June
After reading and LOVING Black Beauty I feel I now must read this story.
July
I just want to read this again. I have not read this in so many decades, it is time.
August
Another classic I have not read!
September
Hoping this is delightful !
October
This is a favorite of boys in the elementary school library I have volunteered at.
So, I think I should finally read it.
November
I have seen the movies! OH BOY.
Therefore I must read the book.
December
Holiday favorite.

I challenge you to take time with a Children’s Classic, it is pure ZEN.
Follow my schedule.
Read a long.
