PLUS TWO:
How the Word is Passed by Clint Smith
Sophie’s World by Jostein Gaarder
I had 20 plus reads on a list and got it down to these 12. I had to keep these two on the list, even though they don’t meet my criteria of “absolute LOVE over the top 5 plus star can’t put it down read”:
How the Word is Passed- I learned so much and the book is absolutely relevant and necessary for everyone to read I had to keep it. It was painful to read. I set it down often.
Sophie’s World was a wonderful MONTHS long group read with discussions every week on only two chapters per week. It was a gift. We then formed #DeadPhilosophersSociety .
I did the year long challenge of Food and Literature #FOODANDLIT with a different country every month- my favorite county was Ethiopia.
My favorite Shakespeare was Richard III of the works that we read for 2021.
