A Very Book Birthday

Chicago is my ZEN. So for my birthday I traveled with my daughter ( her birthday as well) for a book, food, adventure time in the city. It’s always fun to visit bookshops and bookstores. The people working and shopping or hanging out are always so very kind. We met several lovely bibliophile, found new book places and were told of several more good book places! Sometimes it seems like a secret club. Some of the Indie bookstores in Chicago are charity driven, books are donated to sell and our money that we purchase the books with goes to literacy and tutoring programs. Obviously this is very dear to my heart. We did both find some treasures and my daughter even had an Amish cookbook signed for me by all the contributors for my birthday present. The following are pictures of our adventure. We plan to return to the city soon as we have five new book places to find.

Peace.
